1. Q: How do I book?

A: To book a session, simply send me a WhatsApp or email, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

2. Q: What’s the process after I book?

A: Once you book a session, you will receive a confirmation email containing the date, time, and location of your booking. The email will also include a Q&A form for you to fill out before the session. This form helps me prepare for our photoshoot. If you prefer, we can also have a chat over the phone to discuss the details.

3. Q: How do I prepare for my dog’s photoshoot?

A: Please bring your dog’s favourite treats and toys to the photoshoot. You can also bring any props you’d like to include in the photos. For fluffy dogs, I recommend grooming or trimming their fur around the eyes to ensure their eyes are clearly visible in the photographs.

4. Q: What can I expect when I arrive?

A: Our photoshoots take place in a private and enclosed room or studio. Your dog will be off-leash, allowing them to explore and get comfortable in their surroundings. We will introduce ourselves and gradually familiarize your dog with the camera equipment. Once your dog feels comfortable, we’ll start capturing those memorable moments. Your dog’s comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities.

** We always do a Desensitization process (new environments and studio flashes take a moment to get used to) to help get our furry friends comfortable and a bit more relaxed.

This process can take anything from 15min to 45min and is completely fine and expected. We want everybody happy so we can get those gorgeous shots. 

Please clear your schedule (90min) so we can take our time and make sure your pet is happy and comfortable. Unfortunately, this process is not something that can be rushed and will determine how successful the session will be.

(Some animals adjust quickly so we might end up not using the entire 90min).

5. Q: Can we get a family photo?

A: Absolutely! At the end of the session, I always ask if the parent(s) would like a photo with their furbabies. 

6. Q: Can I bring more than 1 dog?

A: Yes! You can bring a second dog for an additional fee of R100. The maximum number of dogs per session is two. If you have more than two dogs, please inform me, and we can discuss the details. I will only consider more than 2 pets if they are well-trained. More than two dogs will be double the session fee.

7. Q: When do I get my photos?

A: The edited photos will be ready within 3-4 weeks. I will email you a link to an online gallery where you can choose the photos you would like to keep.

8. Q: Where are you located?

A: I am based in Faerie Glen, Pta.

9. Q: What if my dog is dog reactive?

A: Rest assured, there will be no other dogs present during the photoshoot. Your dog will be in a safe, private, and enclosed space. We take precautions to ensure no other dogs crowd the area when you’re ready to leave.

10. Q: What if my dog is shy?

A: We understand that dogs may need some extra time to adjust to new environments and people. We allow ample time for your dog to feel comfortable during the session. We are patient and respect your dog’s individual needs.

11. Q: What if my pet isn’t trained or doesn’t listen well?

A: That’s perfectly fine! We work with animals and understand that they may not always follow commands in a studio setting. Even the most well-trained dogs have their moments. Our focus is on capturing genuine and fun moments; sometimes the unpredictable ones turn out to be the best photos.

12. Q: How can I prepare for our time together?

A: Please bring your pet’s favourite treats and toys. If you’re unsure about what to wear or which colours to bring for your photos, we can provide guidance. Choose comfortable attire that fits well and allows you to move freely. And don’t worry, we’ll make sure your pet looks fantastic while you both have a great time!

13. Q: What’s included in the session price?

A: The session price includes the photo shoot, a telephonic consultation if desired, web-sized non-watermarked photos for social media sharing, as well as full-size high-resolution photos, access to a private gallery to purchase prints, and print credits depending on the package you choose.

14. Q: How do I purchase a session gift certificate?

15. Q: How do the backdrop colours work?

A: A few days before your photoshoot, I will contact you to confirm your appointment. During this time, I will provide you with the option to choose your preferred backdrop colour from the ones available.

16. Q: How long do sessions last?

A: A typical studio session lasts around 90 minutes. However, I don’t set a strict time limit and am patient. I allow extra time in case the session needs to go longer. We will conclude the session if your pet is ready to be done before the 90 minutes.

17. Q: What if I need to reschedule?

A: You can reschedule your session up to 1 day before the scheduled date, and your deposit will transfer. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable for no-shows.

18. Q: What types of animals do you photograph?

A: I photograph all types of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, snakes, turtles, and more. If they can fit in my studio, I can capture their portraits. You can check out my galleries for examples.

19. Q: What about safety during the photoshoot?

A: You assume responsibility for your pets and any other subjects during the shoot. Please disclose any behavioural or aggression issues beforehand.

We take precautions to ensure a safe environment, and if necessary, we may terminate the shoot if there are inappropriate, threatening, or offensive behaviours. 

20. Q: Can I acquire commercial/business use of a portrait/image?

A: Yes, commercial/business usage is possible. Please reach out to initiate a conversation about your options and determine the licensing rate based on various factors.
